Why Trump didn’t attend Funeral Ceremony of McCain?
The U.S President Donald Trump has been criticized for playing golf and making tweets on Twitter regarding Canada during the funeral of John McCain. A number of top-political figures, including 3-former president George Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barak Obama attended the funeral ceremony of McCain. They also paid tribute to the late U.S Senator from Arizona. But, the current U.S President wasn’t invited to the memorial at the Washington National Cathedral, and he decided to head to a Virginia golf course. Trump tweeted there regarding the dispute about the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with the Canadian government. He wrote in his Tweet that there is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal. If we don’t make a fair deal for the US after decades of abuse, Canada will be out.
He also indicated in his Tweet that the U.S Congress shouldn’t interfere in these negotiations. Otherwise, he will simply terminate NAFTA entirely & we will be far better off. Some Twitter users quickly urged Donald Trump to Show some Respect. They were asking him to stay off the platform while the U.S Senator McCain’s funeral took place at the U.S Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The former U.S Presidents George W Bush and Barack Obama, along with his children and wife Cindy McCain attended the funeral ceremony. The U.S President Trump didn’t mention the U.S senator’s funeral. A professor a the University of California, Robert Reich and well known political figures tweeted shortly after his tweets that Only a true egomaniac would throw a tantrum to distract from a funeral.
