On Monday, the wife of Donald Trump Jr. was taken to a New York City hospital as a precaution after she opened an envelope addressed to her husband that contained an unidentified white powder. Police authorities said that the substance wasn’t dangerous. The investigators said that the incident took place after 10 a.m. when 40-years old Vanessa Trump opened the letter addressed to the son of U.S president at midtown Manhattan apartment of her mother. Police said that she immediately called 911 and said she was coughing and felt nauseous. Donald Trump Jr. wrote on his official twitter that “Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning”.

The New York Fire Department indicated that they treated 3 patients who were shifted to a hospital for evaluation. Police said the envelope contained a letter but provided no other details. Detectives from the New York Police Department’s intelligence division and Secret Service agents have initiated the investigation. Secret Service Special Agent Jeffrey Adams said in a statement that agents were investigating about a suspicious package addressed to Trump Jr., but they didn’t more comment. Vanessa Trump is a former model and Donald Trump Jr. & Vanessa have 5 children and none of them were home at the time of the incident. The spokesman of the White House Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that the U.S President spoke by phone to Vanessa Trump regarding the incident.
